Northern Ireland 2012
This is an attempt to summarise how I’ll be spending my week in Northern Ireland. Any recommendations for the areas I’ll be visisting are greatly appreciated (Dublin, Belfast, Antrim, Rathlin). Map locations of sea caves are most welcome.
Day one:
Flying to Dublin, taking the train to Belfast & wandering around Belfast for a bit, maybe do a bike tour.
Day two:
Bus to Armoy, walking to the Dark Hedges.

Walking to Bushmills.
Day three:
Walking to Portrush along White Rocks, look for sea caves.

Visit Dunluce Castle, look for more sea caves.

Day four:
Walking to Portballintrae, visit the Giant’s Causeway.

More caves, visit some stone age sites, cross Carrick-a-Rede bridge.

Visit Kinbane Castle, walk on to Ballycastle.

Day five:
Ferry to Rathlin Island, walk to West Rathlin, visit Kebble Nature Reserve.

Look for puffins.

Day six:
Walk to East and South Rathlin, visit Bruce’s Castle ruins, Altacarry lighthouse.

Look for more sea caves. Seal-watching in Mill Bay

Back to Ballycastle.
Day seven:
Back to Belfast, train to Dublin. Wander around Dublin for a bit.
Day eight:
More touristy stuff in Dublin. Visit the Trinity College library (aka the Jedi Archives), look at the Book of Kells.

Flying back home.
